GE 2006 II [O horrible, corrupt media]

Read today's Sunday Times? You should.
Even a person like me who doesn't read the papers EVERYDAY, is able to SEE how WARPED the media is within the first few pages.

Random observations to take note:
1)
Full spread on the first page! A public apology from Gomez (WP)
This is super retarded, stirring up a brouhaha, miniscule matter compared to NKF saga. How can PM ask him to come clean, when the Government itself was so shady about NKF a few years back?

2)

Amidst all the familiar PAP faces, there is only ONE picture of the SDP rally at Woodlands yesterday. And it was about a tired volunteer resting under the stage. Did the media post triumphant pictures of citizens with arms gloriously up in the air in support of SDP? NO.
(I was at the rally yesterday, and the supporters at the front did exactly that)

3)
Hahah, the next few pages were happy dancing snapshots of PAP members shaking hands with senior citizens, holding kiddies, signing a fucking autograph for little boy. WOAAHH liek we'll vote for PAP because they are actually INTERACTING with the public, liek WOAH. How can the Government disallow SDP's newsletters being distributed when The Straits Times is a propaganda newsletter right at your doorstep?

4)

The media can control what's put on the papers, but the very least they could do is NOT alter words. That's straight head-on propaganda MANZ. If I recall correctly from the rally yesterday, Ms Chee's last words of speech weren't "VOTE FOR SDP". They were, "Don't Give Your Vote To PAP."

Now these 2 phrases are GODDAMN DIFFERENT. No, they weren't 'ADVERTISING ' for their party. SDP never did in their speeches. To me, it meant GIVE EVERYONE ELSE A CHANCE TO PROVE THEMSELVES.

5)

Poor Dr Chee Soon Juan can no longer give his impressive speeches or he'll go to jail D: (he should seriously change his glasses though)

My dear Government, you tell me, what good is a country's government if they close their ears and threaten to demolish every worthy opposing citizen?

An absolute Government is a corrupt Government.

What, not give them lift upgrades? Or not get any homes at all? Yes, PAP has been paying attention to heartlanders who VOTE for them. No wonder people are still religiously voting for PAP.

And sadly, people like me who stay in non-heartlandy places like Jalan Kechubong, vote PAP or not:
-STILL don't get street lamps bright enough for lonely girls like me to return home safely.
-STILL get front pavement flower garden dug up with no permission, just to fix someone else's phone line.

-pay the most TAX money yet probably only 0.0001% goes to us.
That's liek Robin Hood WOAH, "Stealing from the rich to give to the poor." Okay, so my famm's not really rich, but seriously, landed property owners pay the most tax which lucky heartlanders don't give at all, at least pay a teeny bit attention to us?

So my household and neighbours have nothing to lose if we don't vote for PAP right? If I could vote, I'd give a chance to other parties. After all, WP has been very persistent and has been around the same time as PAP. And oh darn, we SO need more female leaders.

Lawl I wanted to go to the Bukit Panjang SDP rally today, but that area belongs to oh-so-sexy Dr Balakrishnan, so I'll let it go, for now XD

Oh sigh, one of Singapore's top 10 sexiest men in the PAP.
