Irritable Days.
For some unknown reason, my temper is getting from bad to worse. No, it CAN'T be PMS because I NEVER had PMS. Tolerance for stupidity, threshold for immaturity (especially), deteriorating as fast as Shaggy's piss streaming down from the 3rd floor (this interesting ability makes me wanna have a penis).
Anyway, I've a sudden interest in Breakbeats, particularly Nu-Skool. Trance included, if there are any recommendations, feel free to tag.
Chaaanese parents enjoy manipulating and tormenting their children so as to make their big egos even BIGGER. Look at a typical Chink family - wanting you to lick their toes clean AND get happening grades at the same time.
No, it's not just the grades, it's the fact that other Chink parents start "applauding" your daughter's achievements, but their secretly jealous because THEIR daughter can't do the same. Because of that, their poor child has to bear with the useless jargon and impossible expectations just because her parents treat her as an unpolished trophy, ready to be shined and be bragged about.
I told Mum I got into Honours' Roll (top 10%), and she nodded and said "Good."
Months later (says a lot about how important the actual grades were to her), she was ecstatic about it, eyes wide open and obviously much happier than the actual moment I told her. "Eh I heard you got into Honours' Roll, DIDN'T EXPECT YOU TO MAKE IT, CONGRATS!!!" Ah ... "mother's love".
What's with the lag?
Just so happened that her friend's daughter from RP mentioned my name in the list, saying I'm smart etc etc to her mother. And her mother told MY mother.
See the effect? The using-my-child-as-a-trophy theory applies here. No, mum doesn't care if you get 200 Master Degrees UNTIL she 1) Finds the chance to brag about it.. 2) Other people come to her saying "EH your daughter so smart leh!!"
ANYWAY, I'm finally eighteen, and I spent my birthday composing a requiem for myself, a really emo birthday song. Birthday song for myself, how ironic. Watch this space for the completed song!
And I just have ONE request from my parents.
*Note: I'm not smart lah, aunties like to talk cock. A lot.
