Way to Go, Akien!!

Okay, this picture was from the Finals, but yes, Akien (Sam Yap) performed @ Zouk yesterday, and then came BT!!

It was a blast, although BT's set was OKAYYY only hahah. Akien owned the dance floor lah. He owned with Ableton Live, and of course his smexy track!

For those who were there, and didn't put ear plugs/tissue, your ears should be ringing with white noise by now. BT's set was fine, but a bit too loud (too much highs), and after Flaming June, he played some Nirvana track and random rock stuff which didn't really fit into the whole set. Then DROPPED, then SUDDENLY got BT ft Tiesto's Love Comes Again.

Wah lan eh. Okay the Tiesto bit was really awesome, but the silence before that was wicked.

Anyway, WAY TO GO AKIEN! YOUR SET WAS DOPE!

Bizarre dreams - Few weeks back I dreamt that my mum turned into a crucifix while I was whacking her, and continued smashing the crucifix. Back from Japan!

After nearly 5 exhausting days of healthy, filling food, walking and people-watching, I'd say that the trip was an eye-opener with SO MANY FUCKING GORGEOUS PEOPLE THEY MAKE SINGAPORE LOOK REALLY SAD.

The women ALL wear heels, and at least 2 inches, and most of them were HOT (maybe it's because they put tons of eye make-up but what the hell). The men were so fucking cute. If it weren't for STDs I'd be a nympho every night in Shinjuku >:D

Yes, we had our stay at Asakusa (a small town with some traditional charm), a little hotel - our room was carved out from a storeroom, and we slept on tatamis. We went to Shibuya - Harajuku (THE place for the weirdest people, cosplayers, men running in underwear, lolita goths etc), Shinjuku (red light district, plenty of S&M houses), and Ginza (electronics powerhouse)

Oh yes, the main reason for my visit was for the huge range of vinyls/records. EVERY corner in Shibuya (the main city) had a small vinyl store, old but cheap. REALLY cheap. Like around S$1-6 per piece. Managed to lug back 8kg of vinyls heheheh :D

Didn't manage to get their pretty shoes because their shoe sizes - damn small. Or my feet are really big. Bahh, how miserable. Oh yeah, all the women teeter in their heels with knocked-knees, which means knees pointing slightly >inwards< . Hereditary? I figured because they don't sit cross-legged on the floor like here - they sit the way I/anime girls usually sit (for those close to me will know :D).

Yes! That sums up my trip, a lot more to tell but I just touched down at 1am and need GOOD REST. Should really go to JP again, this time I MUST find shoes, and fugu (pufferfish). A trip with a pregnant sister, her husband and a cheena mother are definitely NOT the people to try fugu with :) FLO MUST GO!!! :D

OH YES! I received news a few hours ago that I qualified for the Heineken Thirst Studio Finals! OMFGGGG!!! Hogay, relac. SoOoo, I'm performing 23rd September @ Phuture, along with 3 really pro finalists hahah. :D :D :D

Anyway, I haven't touched vector art for ages, and I can only vector using Flash because Illustrator/Freehand's pen tool is being anal. The lines in Flash are a whole lot easier to understand and really flexible (although I do agree vectoring really ain't my cuppa tea)?

Yes, narcissism aside, watch The Host! It's another one of those badly marketed Korean "horror" flicks which are not quite horror... I have NO idea how to classify it... it's just plain weird. REALLYreally random shiet, so SHOO! Go waste your 7 bucks on it!
